Evicted on Purpose: The Collapse That Became a Map

Book cover for “Evicted on Purpose: The Collapse That Became a Map” by Jillian Stidd, featuring the silhouette of a woman walking toward a glowing circular portal of light in a dark, symbolic landscape, representing spiritual awakening, transformation, and purpose-driven change.

I didn’t write this book because I had answers.I wrote it because my life collapsed in a way that demanded truth.

There is a moment — quiet, humiliating, unmistakable — when the life you built begins to push you out.

Not violently.

Not dramatically.

Just firmly enough that pretending becomes impossible.

For a long time, I thought something was wrong with me.

The relationships that unraveled.

The work that stopped fitting.

The places that no longer felt like home.

The sense that everything I had worked so hard to maintain was slipping away.

I called it burnout.

Exhaustion.

A bad season.

Rock bottom.

But collapse has a way of revealing what comfort keeps hidden.

Eventually, I saw it.

I wasn’t being punished.

I was being evicted on purpose.

Not from a house —but from a life that could no longer hold who I was becoming.

Evicted on Purpose: The Collapse That Became a Map is not a memoir about loss for the sake of loss.

It is a book about spiritual awakening through life collapse — about the moment you realize that the unraveling is the guidance.

That the doors closing were not random.

That the things falling apart were not failures.

They were instructions.

This book is written for women navigating midlife transition, identity loss, and spiritual disorientation.

Women who did everything “right” and still found themselves standing inside the ruins of a life that no longer worked.

Women who sense — quietly and deeply — that what they are experiencing is not chaos, but alignment without language.

Because no one teaches us how to read collapse.

We are taught to fix.

To hustle.

To recover.

To rebuild the same structures with better boundaries and more resilience.

But some seasons are not asking to be repaired.

They are asking to be decoded.

The collapse that brought me here did not come with clarity. It came with confusion.

Grief.

Displacement.

A series of moments that looked, from the outside, like failure.

But when I stopped resisting the eviction and started listening to it, something shifted.

Patterns emerged.

Timing made sense.

Loss rearranged itself into meaning.

I began to see that every ending carried information.

Every breakdown contained an ingredient.

Every detour pointed somewhere precise.

That is when the map appeared.

Not a map back to who I used to be —but forward into who I had been avoiding.

This book is not prescriptive.

It will not tell you how to fix your life.

It will sit with you in the moment where the old rules stop working.

It will name what most people rush past.

It will honor grief without romanticizing it.And it will gently — relentlessly — ask you to consider that your life collapse may be purposeful.

If you are reading this because something in your life feels like it is ending…

If the room you are in feels smaller than it used to…

If the familiar no longer feels safe, but the unknown feels terrifying…

You are not broken.

You are not behind.

You are not starting over.

You are standing inside a moment with meaning.

Evicted on Purpose exists for that moment.

Not as a promise of ease —but as recognition.

And if something in you just whispered, this is for me —then you already know why this book was written.

Evicted On Purpose
The origin story. The philosophy. The collapse that became a map.
Evicted on Purpose began as a story of collapse — the moment everything familiar fell apart and nothing made sense. But inside the wreckage was a revelation. Every heartbreak was a coordinate. Every ending was an instruction. Every detour was a doorway. What started as one woman’s unraveling became a blueprint for awakening. This book didn’t just tell the story.
